Daniel-Fierceshook review

Today I’m reviewing ‘Daniel’ by Fierce Shook!

‘Daniel’ is the latest single from the music project of Fierce Shook created by Rob Moore, Tom McLoughlin, Austin and Owen Holmes and is an interestingly composed alternative track unlike any other.

‘Daniel’ is not the first encounter I’ve had with Fierce Shook as I’ve previously listened to their EP ‘Altogether’. My opinions on ‘Altogether’ were mostly neutral, I liked some of the songs and generally thought it was a decent EP but not exactly my taste so I held off on reviewing it and other music by Fierce Shook until this latest release!

At first glance (or first listen) I wasn’t exactly sure what to think of ‘Daniel’.The song used dissonance in the vocals to its advantage which was very interesting choice that I didn’t know if I liked or not but as I did a double take and sort of listened a bit closer it really grew on me.

What I really loved was the guitar overpowering the vocals aspect, it definitely added a grunge charm to the song and in general I think my overall favorite aspect of the song was the guitars. It was absolutely killer and gave the song such a memorable rhythm!

Overall I rate ‘Daniel’ 8.7/10 slices! If you like this song please consider buying it on BandCamp as all the money made from this single will be donated to Pieta House.I’d especially recommend giving this song a try if you like artists such as Andrew Jackson Jihad or Mike Krol!
