No Veo Nada-Razteria review

 

Following the release of her song ‘What I Love’ which I have previously reviewed (And I loved) Razteria will be releasing a new single ‘No Veo Nada’ and I was super lucky and got to listen to it early!

This song was based off of a poem that was written by the Peruvian and Argentinian poet Zezé Fassmor. Zezé became blind at the age of 25 as a rare consequence of an eye injury and the poem he wrote is about how he perceives the world due to his blindness. 

I think it’s a beautiful thing when artists work together to make a song and often when I’ve seen artists collaborate it feels forced and fake but in this case it was the complete opposite! I think Zezé’s powerful poetry paired amazingly with Razteria’s wonderful voice and singing style and the song flowed really well!

The whole song had amazing lyrics but there was one part of it that stuck out to me.

‘Digame, digame, digame digame Digame con tu dulce voz

El horizonte por delante’

Symbolically through this song Razteria represents the ‘dulce voz’ that is helping him see the horizon. The amazing symbolism is so cool and I think it adds a lot of interesting depth to the song!

To me every aspect of ‘No Veo Nada’ complemented each other really nicely including the cover art! Julio Mesquita who created the beautiful cover art perfectly captured the tropical laid back vibes and also the powerful symbolic nature.

Overall I give this song 8/10 slices! If you like EDM and Reggae songs or just music in Spanish then ‘No Veo Nada’ is a must listen!
