Today I’m reviewing Send and Giants new single ‘Chasing New York Skies’!

The Midwestern emo band from Chicago Send Me Giants has come out with their newest release ‘Chasing New York Skies’ a song with realistic lyrics and an amazing alternative vibe.

‘Chasing New York Skies’ is a classic indie emo take on rock and the Midwest.From what I understand ‘Chasing New York Skies’ is about watching someone try to find a new home and better life while simultaneously wanting them to stay behind.

The song starts off with some awesome guitar chords and drums and is soon followed by the vocals.From there the song is a bit repetitive but not necessarily in a bad way and more of a ‘enforcing the theme’ sort of way.

In terms of themes ‘Chasing New York Skies’ could definitely be interpreted in a couple of different ways. The entire song gives off a empty tone and to me based on the lyrics I see the song portraying the loneliness of being left behind but I could definitely see how some people might find ‘Chasing New York Skies’ to be liberating!

Overall I rate ‘Chasing New York Skies’ 7.2/10 slices! Although I am neither from the Midwest or from Chicago this song and is a classic emo indie take on growing up! If you like anything alternative/rock then this is a pretty safe guarantee you’ll enjoy ‘Chasing New York Skies’!
