Flash Of Colour-Fonteray Review

Today I’m reviewing ‘Flash Of Colour’ by Fonteray!

Fonteray is the Melbourne based project of Drew McCarty, the self described cosmic musical drifter blends electronic, indie and neo styles to create magical psych tracks that give you goosebumps.

The song itself is filled with a colorful (pun intended) array of psychedelic synths and electronic tones that are not only aesthetically pleasing but authentic and hypnotic.

With a clean production and a touch of indie ‘Flash Of Colour’ is a track that stand out from the rest of the electronic genre. The lyrics blend in with the psychedelic background and capture the relaxing as well as the danceable vibes. After the first listen I found myself listening again for the magic that was kept in the tracks small but awesome details.

The element that made ‘Flash Of Colour’ truly stand out to me when first listening was the quiet but incredible  bass. It was in the background and not as noticeable as the piano or synths but it added a vintage and retro vibe to the song especially during the chorus.

Overall I give this hidden gem 8.7/10 slices! If you’re looking for a colorful indie-electronic listen that will make you feel like the main character in a TV drama while simultaneously being the perfect motivational song to get you up and about then look no further!
