Today I’m reviewing ‘I’m Not Sorry’ by Darrian Gerard!

‘I’m Not Sorry’ is the latest single from Canada based singer and songwriter Darrian Gerard.Darrian started playing guitar at the age of 7 and from the on she started writing lyrics and creating songs.Darrian is heavily influenced by the likes of great artists such as blink-182, Alanis Morissette, Angels & Airwaves and so much more.

This recent release has everything necessary for a staple song in the pop punk genre, killer guitar, gravity defying vocals, and best of all energetically angst filled lyrics.

Gerard’s pop punk style is as if the lyrics of Taylor Swift met the energy of Avril Lavingne, don’t let those comparisons fool you though.While Darrian was heavily inspired by these great artists it is clear that Darrian has managed to create a unique and modern pop punk style while also managing to keep the roots of the genre.

 The lyrics hold the unapologetic happiness and euphoria that comes with having no regrets about not apologizing. I think that this is one of those songs that would be phenomenal to hear be played live because of the rad energy and fun lyrics it has and I really hope Darrian does some live shows once this pandemic is over.

Overall I give ‘I’m Not Sorry’ 9/10 slices! If you are a fan of bands like Paramore then you would probably really enjoy this song!

I think ‘I’m Not Sorry’ and the rest of Darrian’s discography deserves a lot more attention than it’s been getting do please give this song a listen!
