I Get Lost-Lavender Blue review

Lavender Blue is a diy guitarist, songwriter and producer based in Asheville,North Carolina and today I’m going to review their EP ‘I Get Lost’.

‘I Get Lost’ mixes aspects of dream pop, indie and folk music which gives the EP a certain homey but bittersweet feeling to it.

Although I think there is a lot of ways to interpret this EP I interpret it as looking back on a relationship that has ended and feeling lost without the other person and not knowing how to continue. Though I like my interpretation I would really like to know what inspired ‘I Get Lost’ or what the meaning behind it is!

My favorite track from this EP is ‘House On A Highway’. Something about the acoustic guitar mixed with the twangy country aspects is just so beautiful. This is one of those songs where you can just tell that the artist put a lot of love and thought into it. And although the lyrics are simple they have a memorable gracefulness to them.

Overall I give this EP a 9/10 slices! It was really beautiful so if you like singers like Karen O then you should check out Lavender Blue!
